Diesel Valve Springs for Powerstroke Engines
Valve springs control how well the valvetrain follows the cam lobe at speed. When a spring goes weak or breaks, the valve doesn’t seat properly — you lose compression, burn exhaust gases into the intake, and accelerate wear on every component around it. On a diesel that’s been tuned, towed hard, or pushed to higher RPM, stock springs are often the first valvetrain component to cause problems.

We stock valve springs for Powerstroke 6.0L, 6.4L, 6.7L (Scorpion), and 7.3L — in OEM-spec and heavy-duty rates, as well as complete cam packages that include matched springs, pushrods, and lifters for a full valvetrain upgrade.

OEM vs. heavy-duty valve springs
OEM-rate springs are the correct choice for stock and lightly modified trucks. If the engine is getting a head swap and the valvetrain is in good shape, OEM springs restore factory function without any changes to cam timing or valvetrain geometry.

Heavy-duty springs provide higher seat pressure and open pressure, which keeps the valve following the cam accurately at higher RPM and under elevated boost conditions. They’re the right spec for tuned trucks, compound turbo builds, trucks with performance cams, and any application where the engine is regularly pushed past its stock operating range.
