Powerstroke Camshafts

Powerstroke Camshafts — 6.0L, 6.4L & 6.7L
The camshaft controls valve timing, lift, and duration — the three variables that determine how much air the engine moves and when. On stock Powerstroke engines, the factory cam is optimized for emissions compliance and fuel economy, not power output. A performance grind opens the valves wider, holds them open longer, and improves cylinder fill at the RPM range where the truck actually works.

We manufacture Stage 1 and Stage 2 camshafts for the 6.0L/6.4L Powerstroke and Stage 1 and Stage 2 grinds for the 6.7L Scorpion, plus complete cam packages that include matched springs, pushrods, and lifters in one box.

Stage 1 vs. Stage 2 — what’s the difference?
Stage 1 is a mild performance grind designed for street trucks, daily drivers, and towing builds. Gains are in throttle response, mid-range torque, and EGT reduction. Works with stock or mildly modified supporting components. The drop-in Stage 1 for the 6.7L Scorpion installs without removing the cab.

Stage 2 is a more aggressive grind for trucks with supporting modifications — upgraded injectors, larger turbos, performance tuning, or compound turbo setups. Peak power gains are larger but the engine needs to be built around the cam to realize them. The flycut 6.7L Stage 2 cam requires valve pocket work to clear the increased lift.

Should I replace everything at once?
Yes. Whenever a cam is replaced, the lifters and pushrods should come out too. Lifters wear to the existing cam lobe profile — installing a new cam on worn lifters accelerates wear on both and often causes premature failure. Our complete cam packages include the cam, lifters, pushrods, and valve springs matched to work together, so everything gets done in one job.
